Ages 8 and up; Thursday, 7/30 at 9:30-10:30 AM; max 20 children – Lawn Bowling Green next to CAC
Coordinator Marilyn Garland
Similar to Bocce & Pétanque, lawn bowling is, however, played on grass. Bowls are not completely round and are weighted in a way that requires them to travel in a curved path. Your ability to judge where your ball will end up is where the challenge of the game comes in. Children will use a half court. Oakmont Lawn Bowling Club members will demonstrate the techniques and help the children with their skills. All equipment provided. Must wear closed-toed, smooth-bottomed shoes to protect the grass.
